by admin on April 8th, 2010

There are a great many flooring choices for you to consider for a new kitchen floor. Some of the more popular choices are solid wood, traditional tiles or even laminate.

Solid wood is not cheap, but offers good durability if you pick a hardwood and looks fantastic. Traditional porceline tiles are very easy to clean and don’t absorb spillages, however can crack if you drop something heavy on them and the grout between tiles can get dirty over time. Laminate flooring is very cheap, however it is not hardwearing and can look a bit low quality after a short period of time.

An alternative that is becomming more popular nowadays are stone floor tiles which offer the benefits of a normal tiled floor, plus look fantastic and if you pick a stone such as sandstone can stay cool in the summer and warmer in the winter.
